DELHI:EROS TIMES: A team of 20 individuals between the age group of five years to 45 years, who are striving to enter the Guinness Book of World records by travelling to maximum UNESCO sites within the shortest span of time by using only public transport, called on the Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia at the Delhi Secretariat.
Sisodia praised the efforts of the team and thanked them for showcasing public transport in their unique effort.
I thank the Quest team for choosing to travel on public transport across states and even making it their focal point that public transport in India is safe and easily accessible with particular reference to Delhi, Sisodia said.
This team travelled to seven UNESCO sites within 12 hours using only the public transport. They began their tour of UNESCO World heritage sites on Sunday starting from Keoladeo National Park, Bharatpur, Fatehpur Sikri, Agra Fort, Taj Mahal, Humanyun’s Tomb, Red Fort and finished the record at Qutub Minar, Delhi.
The team travelled from Agra to Delhi by Shatabdi train and deboarded at the Nizamuddin station, from where the Delhi Tourism & Transport Development Corporation (DTTDC) made arrangements in buses & Delhi Metro to help them in completing their mission on public transport.
