DELHI:EROS TIMES: Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal led the Delhiites in paying homage to the father of Indian Constitution, Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar on the occasion of celebration of Maha Parinirvan Diwas in a function organized by Delhi Vidhan Sabha at Old Secretariat, Delhi.
Kejriwal paid floral tributes at the statue of Baba Saheb on this occasion.
Speaker, Delhi Legislative Assembly, Ram Niwa Goyal, Deputy Speaker Rakhi Bidlan, MLAs Chaudhary Fateh Singh, Manoj Kumar and Pankaj Puskar also paid floral tributes to Baba Saheb.
Paying his tributes to Dr. Ambedkar, Kejriwal said that Baba Saheb Ambedkar was a great educationist, Social reformer, an statesman of outstanding calibre who always struggled for establishing Equality, Fraternity and Liberty in the society which he included, while drafting the Constitution and its’ Preamble.
Remembering the role of Dr. Ambedkar as the father of the Indian Constitution, Kejriwal said that Dr. Ambedkar gave the country long back such a great Constitution which provides the citizens Justice, Social, Economic & Political; Liberty of thought, Expression, Belief, Faith & Worship; Equality of status and of opportunity; and to promote among them all fraternity assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity & integrity of the nation for making India sovereign socialist secular & democratic republic.
Kejriwal said that Baba Saheb was Massiha of have-nots and deprived sections of the society.
Devotional Bhajans were also recited on this occasion.
