DELHI:EROS TIMES: Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, while unfurling the national flag (Tri-colour) at state level celebration of 70th Republic Day organized by the Delhi Government at Chhatrashal Stadium today, exhorted the Children to cultivate the feelings of patriotism and communal harmony and to serve the Country with the feelings of dedication and sacrifice giving a helping hand to the people of all sections of the society to ensure progress without having the feelings of caste, creed and religion.
Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia, Health Minister, Satyendar Jain, Minister of Labour, Gopal Rai, Environment Minister, Imran Hussain, Minister of Social Welfare, Rajendar Pal Gautam, Transport Minister, Kailash Gahlot, A number of MLAs, Chief Secretary, Vijay Dev, Pr. Secretaries, Secretaries and HODs of various Departments, Heads of autonomous bodies/corporations also graced the occasion.
The Chief Minister took the guard of honour from the contingents of Delhi police, Delhi Fire Service, Civil Defence, NCC and the school children.
A grand colourful cultural programme was also presented by the school children.
The Chief Minister first of all greeted the citizens of the country on the occasion of the Republic Day and remembered Dr. B. R. Ambedkar for his wonderful creation – The Indian constitution which was implemented on 26th January 1950 with the dream of changing the plight of millions of the people of India.
He said that Dr. B. R. Ambedkar gave such a vast constitution to this vast nation, which is regarded as best the constitution of the world. Kejriwal also remembered the role of Mahatma Gandhi, the first Prime Minister of India, Pt. Jawarlal Nehru for laying foundation of free India.
He said that after getting freedom in 1947, it was dreamt that every citizen will get the justice, unemployed people and the farmers will get justice and education will transformed, but this dream could not be full filled in the past 70 years, which is pains giving.
Kejriwal also appealed the people to save the country from the fassiparous tendencies and the divisive forces, which are weakening and ruining the country and its’ democratic and social fabric.
Kejriwal stated his speech with saluting the National Flag and renting the slogans “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”, “Vande Matram” and “Inklab- Jindabad”, which was chorused by thousands of the children with full energy present in the Stadium.
Kejriwal also remembered the sacrifices of the great freedom – fighter like Sardar Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Rajguru, Chandra Sekhar Azad, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Isfaq Ulla Khan and others in liberating Mother India.
Kejriwal said that during the last 4 years Delhi Government stepped in bringing remarkable change and attaining the dream of fore fathers of the Nation true.
He said that our Dy. Chief Minister and Education Minister, Manish Sisodia transformed the entire the education system, atmosphere in school, adding new curriculum, such as “happiness curriculum” and now for taking up such a wonderful initiative of entrepreneur curriculum which will change the fate of thousands of students as after this curriculum, they will start their own enterprises and will able to employ unemployed youth and they themselves will not demand job for them, by that way they will become self dependent.
Kejriwal said that his Government has given great relief to the poor and needy people of Delhi.
He said that his Government has ensured Electricity & Water supply to the people 24 hours and has also providing electricity at the cheapest rate and water up to 20000 litres to every house hold free.
Kejriwal said that his Government has also ensured better health facilities in all Government Hospitals for facilitating people. His Government has launched the Mohalla Clinic facility to take the health facility at the door step the people which has been internationally acknowledged.
He expressed his deep concern that the remarkable pro people projects are stopped and hurdles are created in many of the projects.
His Government wished to give relief to the tune of Rs. One crore to any force soldier who sacrificed his life while serving.
He also wished to give relief to the farmers, but all such projects are being stopped.
Kejriwal appealed the people to participate in the democracy, as he wished to make India number One Country in the World.
He said that it is his desire to see India at the top of the map of the Globe.
