New Delhi:EROS TIMES: December 8—Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Subhash Chopra expressed his deep shock and sorrow at the death of many people in a terrible fire tragedy in Anaj Mandi Filmistan today. Subhash Chopra held the Aam Aadmi Party Government in Delhi and the BJP-ruled Municipal Corporations responsible for the terrible fire accident as their irresponsible governance led to such a tragedy.
Chopra, along with senior Congress leaders, visited the fire accident site and went up to the third floor room where people died in the fire. Chopra, accompanied by former MP Jai Prakash Agarwal and former Delhi Minister Haroon Yusuf, also visited the LNJP Hospital and inquired about the condition of those who suffered serious burn injuries. He also extended Congress’ party’s all possible help and support to them.
Chopra and Agarwal, after talking to the local residents, said that people were angry with both AAP and BJP. Holding the AAP and BJP responsible for the fire tragedy, Chopra said that the compensation announced by the Delhi Government for the families of those dead and injured were not sufficient.
Chopra said that the dependents of those who perished in the fire should be given jobs and ensure their present livelihood. He also demanded that all open electric wires should be laid underground so that such tragedies do not occur in future. Subhash Chopra was accompanied by Haroon Yusuf.
