DELHI:EROS TIMES: Government of NCT of Delhi launched the vigilance awareness week with the Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia administering the “Integrity Pledge” to the officers and employees of Delhi Government to make Delhi corruption free at Delhi Secretariat. Starting from today the vigilance Awareness week will end on 3rd November 2018. Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash, Addl. Chief Secretary, Manoj Parida, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, HODs, Heads of Autonomous bodies, other senior Officers and employees of Delhi Government took the “Integrity Pledge” at plaza of Secretariat Building.
Administering the pledge, to the officers/employees to make Delhi the first corruption free State of India, Sisodia said that Delhi Government is committed to make Delhi Corruption free. In the cases the corruption, this government will take strict action against the officers/employees if found guilty and no officer/ official will be spared if the allegations of corruption are substantiated.
The “Integrity Pledge” released by the Central Vigilance Commission addressed to all Ministries, Departments, State Governments and UT’s reads:
Integrity Pledge
“I believe that corruption has been one of the major obstacles to economic, political and social progress of our country. I believe that all stakeholders such as Government, citizens and private sector need to work together to eradicate corruption.
I realize that every citizen should be vigilant and commit to highest standards of honesty and integrity at all times and support the fight against corruption.
I, therefore, pledge:
To follow probity and rule of law in all walks of life.
To neither take nor offer bribe;
To perform all tasks in an honest and transparent manner;
To act in public interest;
To lead by example exhibiting integrity in personal behavior;
To report any incident of corruption to the appropriate agency.
